The Priory and Priory Cottages date from 1462. Steventon has a wealth of timber and plaster houses, several of them having been wonderfully restored on the eastern side of the Causeway.

Opposite St Michael and All Angels Church is the Manor Farm, a sturdy square house in the Queen Anne style with an amazing barn raised above flood level on arches! Close by, the Mill House, partially of 16th century origin, has been carefully restored with the millstream beside it cascading over a miniature waterfall.

Steventon dates from Medieval Times and contains a number of buildings of architectural interest, including several from the 14th and 15th centuries. Two notable features of the village are the large Villiage Green, originally used by wool merchants to dry their fleeces after washing in one of the many villiage streams, and the unique Medieval Causeway. This was built by local monks in the Middle Ages and runs the whole length of the village along its traditional East-West axis.
